LNSS are delighted to host LILAC 2010, taking place in the Strand Hotel Limerick from the 29th to the 31st of March. LILAC is the Librarians' Information Literacy Annual Conference (run by the CILIP CSG Information Literacy Group) and is aimed at information professionals from schools, further education, government/health/special libraries and higher education institutions to name but a few disciplines.
Delegates come from over 30 countries worldwide to participate in the information sessions and to share new ideas and innovative teaching techniques in the field of Information Literacy. Themes for this year's conference are: Developing the IL Practitioner, Innovative Practice, Making Connections and IL & Research.
Not that it's all work and no play - social events form a pivotal role in the conference! There will be many opportunities to network, with social events planned in LSAD and Dromoland Castle. Delegates are also encouraged to explore Limerick and its many attractions. Excursions have been organised for those who are interested in learning more about Limerick city after the close of the conference.
